8th grade High School Health-Cynthia Cook

Welcome to High School Health

Just a little about me. I am a native New Mexican. I grew up in Albuquerque, and graduated from Eldorado High School, Go Eagles! I received my Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from the University of New Mexico. I've taught in Houston, TX; APS (Manzano High School and Jefferson Middle School); and here in RRPS at Eagle Ridge Middle School and Lincoln Middle School. I have enjoyed teaching Earth, Life, and Physical Science, Physical Education, and Health.

Health is a semester long course (and is a required course for graduation) that will guide students through the many dimensions of wellness.  Students will develop skills needed in confronting difficult situations; understand health prevention and promotion techniques that will establish a solid personal health education; and become health literate in making positive and healthy decisions.

Students will need either a spiral notebook or a 3 ring binder, lined paper, and of course pen or pencil everyday!

Please see my useful links (from the menu on the left of this page) for my Syllabus and a link to the online version of the textbook.

Thank you Cynthia Cook
